Rise and FadeThe winter Sun was setting over a dismally calm ocean, it's orange and red light splayed across the water. The Moon was rising, hard and cold, casting little light. It looked as if the Sun had slit it's fiery wrists and was bleeding into the ocean, and the Moon in her icy silence, was watching the Sun as it fell. Clouds were rumbling slowly across the dusk sky, heralding a light sprinkle of snow. The wind changed, blowing from the East now, and tossing the waves in their watery grave. Sand mixed with snow and both hit hard and cold, burning the legs and stinging the face. She pulled the scarf up over her face and stuffed cold hands into sweatRise and Fade
